Who is driving Globalvert?

Shai Kiriati is an 18 year old high school graduate. When she was in her 11th year she started to develop her interest in the environmental uses for algae.

She spent a year trying to outline a really efficient research on algae based biofuel. "Not only can algae produce fuels, but they can also help reduce greenhouse gases", she'd explain to anyone who would listen. But after a year long research into this industry she reached a sad conclusion: Algae biofuel seemed more elusive than ever.

Shai is an award winning student. Her research project into quantum computation has won her award in the two most lucrative national competitions in Israel. During her last year in high school she was also chosen as one of 40 finalists who were invited to the Thiel Fellowship 20 Under 20 finals in San Francisco to present her vision for algae-based biofuels. Globalvert evolved from this initial project.
